Sleep research & cool facts
"Your heart will be healthier if you get between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night."
" Learn relaxation techniques to counteract the effects of stress and fall asleep faster. "
" People who nap at work show much lower levels of stress. Napping also improves memory, cognitive function, and mood. "
In the link above it talks about different stages of sleep. There are four different stages of sleep, in each stage it talks about how your body changes and how the sleep varies from the previous stage. I find all of this sleep information quite interesting because there are quite simple things that I have not personally though of that affect my sleep.
Ikea campaign reference research
The night club
"The idea for the Ikea campaign came after the came across research that 63% of people felt unhappy with the amount of sleep they were getting."
Other similar campaigns that they have done
A cool agency I discovered with Ikea's campaign
Mother London AdAgency
"Mother was founded in London in 1996 by a group of creative, free-thinking individuals sitting around a kitchen table eating lunch. It’s here that the group decided that they were hungry – not for more sandwiches, but to do things differently."
I can't believe how cool they are. Their visual language and campaign are short and very effective. I love the fact that all of them are 'Mother' of something. I find it incredibly passionate and overwhelming because all of them are women, it's empowering.

Unfortunately most of these campaigns are to do with babies and how babies should not sleep or sleep to survive. The Ikea campaign has only come out January 2019, which shows how much people actually do not show how important sleep is for us. We don't focus on it at all and we don't try to promote it out there for out own benefits, when indeed sleep is what helps us function better, grow and develop. This is giving me the motivation to do this even more.
