Today we had to present our individual articles of choice or campaign that we have looked at and I think it was amazing. I was expecting at least two to be repeated but we all have done very well and managed to show completely different campaign and aspects of artificial intelligence. It was awesome. Brian and Xavier also managed to give us some good feedback and more ads and ideas to think about.

Xavier spoke about how today is the celebration of St George's day. On this day men present their female relatives with roses and lovers also swap gifts of books and roses. It was very sweet and touching of Xavier to suggest all of us three books. He mentioned that those books are great for our course and can help us, but also a bonus book which is just for us. You know... a great book, we all have that one book we love and always recommend to anyone.

1. Advertising for people who hate advertising - by Kessels Kramer

2. Ogilvy on Advertising - by David Ogilvy (which I own and it is in fact great!)

3. In praise of shadows - by Junichiro Tanizaki

Also a little bonus, re - watch Midnight in Paris.

Today I feel like Brian has given us a lot of clever quotes and ads and so much that I could write about, but you'll be here reading this post for the next 5 years, so let me try and keep it interesting. Sweet and short.

Brian - the inspiration guru.

Number 1;

1 + 1 = 3

let that sink in.

Number 2;

"If you think professionally, you start to act professionally."

I very much agree with this statement. It is very important how you set your mind to be because this is how your attitude will come out in live and reflect on others too.

Number 3;

Some great ads.

VW Polo - protection - TV commercial

The brief to this ad was -"The new polo is all about protection."

I really enjoyed it because it was so simple, it was so obvious to what it was happening, but they really got the how pack of the brief and answered it cleverly.

McDonalds

"Students wanted, no experience needed."

British Airways

The insight was - "Kid looking at a plane you always wonder where they go."

I think this is incredible. It works so well. It's so smooth and simple, however technical in terms of AI.

The skype call.

I think today the realisation of this brief has hit me. I knew it is a live brief, I know that we are working with real clients, but when you do things such as; skyping the clients or talking to the big guys out there, the realisation moment hits you.

I managed to write four pages of my notebook full with notes, but I will round it up and give you the main points.

1. Zannah Marsh is pretty cool. She is just very lovely and smiley and she tried to give us as much information as possible, even though at time she was quite the pain.

2. Mozilla likes their briefs to be very people based. They definitely want something to create a conversation. She explained that there would be more than one thing happening at the same times, so what we create has to be strong enough to grab the audience's attention and spark a conversation. She spoke about the stairs and how they connect different floors, I think there is definitely a potential with this because the stairs between the floors is almost like taking a break from one thing while making your way to the other, that's when you surprise the audience with another campaign they did not expect.

3. They don't want to discourage people with basic white and black perspectives and types of ads. They also don't want people to just experience it, they want people to live through it, remember it and most importantly learn from it.

4. The final thing I want to talk about is how she mentioned and talked about how it will be Mozilla's 10th anniversary and that they might go big. She talked about how they might be considering and show some of the past work. When I though of AI it's such an easy thing to show time, how it was before, now and how it will be in the future. I think linking the anniversary their past and AI together really might have potential. I am excited to look into this more and see if I can come up with any ideas and share them with Zaki and vise versa.

Overall, this day was pretty exciting. I have learned a lot - from having skype calls with clients to seeing new ads and campaign and learning more and more about artificial intelligence.
