Surveys are one of the best ways that I have found out to collect data from people. I think it's simple, fast and easy. When something is too hard, long and complicated people tend to ignore it because it's either too much or they can't be bothered. So I decided to create a survey to help me support my questions and statements in my essay.

The questions:

1. How old are you?

The reason I wanted to ask this is because in my essay I would like to talk about the different generations and how they vary when they it comes to narcissism.

2. Do you consider yourself as a narcissist?

I though this was an interesting question yet challenging as people didn't know what followed up. Everyone answer 'No' - which means they do not consider themselves narcissistic. It's interesting what follows after..

3. What do you love about yourself? Why?

Even though people did not consider themselves being narcissistic, they were still able to answer the question to what they love about themselves. It's fascinating how that works.

4. What do you hate about yourself? Why?

With this question I want to show that not every person that love themselves is narcissistic. Also, a lot of narcissists would never be able to answer this question with so much personal honest. I think what also helps is the fact that this is anonymous.

5. How narcissistic are you? - 10 being very narcissistic

With this question again I wanted to show how people can and will react when they get asked whether they are narcissistic or not. I believe that we all are in one way or another. It's what makes us be us and helps us grow and develop. What was different here is that people slowly started to admit, once I asked them what they love and hate about themselves.

6. Do you think technology makes us more narcissistic?

This was a great question in my opinion. Nowadays everyone has some sort of technology, whether it is a phone, TV, laptop, etc. So, if 57% have answered yes, then how are those exact 57% same people now answering yes to being narcissistic?!

7. Who is the most influential person in your life? Why? e.g. style, attitude, glam, etc.

With this question I wanted to play. I wanted to see how people become motivated to be better and to do better. I wanted to see how people grow and develop in their own ways by what's around them.

I think the survey overall was very successful. I will definitely be using this information to add in the essay and analyse it more.
