Group Think Fest (AC_1,2,3,5) (LO_6,7,8)

I found out about this through Joe Baglow. It only costs £15 for juniors and grad students, usually it's £25. The day was amazing. I though it would be tiring, however it went super fast and well.

Marie Oldham - VCCP

Marie spoke about the myths around media and how it's represented to us and how important it is for media strategists to connect with the rest of the agency/industry no matter what the topic is about. She also spoke about the future of agencies and how they will change. Her talk was mainly about understanding human needs and how important that is for agencies to put themselves in their shoes.

How to think about pitching - Joce Turban

This session was all about pitching. There were many other ones which sounded super interesting, however this is a very important one because with time you will master it, however, why not have some insights on how to be better than the people who didn't know these things. The things we discussed were; understanding your audience, build rapport, the story the tension points, and many other things such as getting advice from strategists.

Body and Mind - Marcelo Perretti Kuhn

I loved this session. Marcelo spoke about how important it is to breathe when in difficult times and gave us some insights about the book he has written, connecting the body with the mind and the mind with the body and what kind of power it creates. We did some physical exercises which allow you to become more open and concentrated.

Combo sesh; Zoe Scaman, Rob Campbell, Mark Pollard

This session was busy, busy, busy. there were so many things to get through I can't even explain to you.

Zoe Scaman spoke about the alternating world and Hollywood. We discus things such as gaming, fandom, platforms, gaming engines, purpose, connectivity and the power of great story telling. The importance of these individual things which are so powerful and create major discussions and are the beginning of our new future of the digital world.

Rob Campbell was absolutely amazing, the passion he spoke with was mind blowing. He spoke all about immersing yourself with culture and his main points were around George Floyd and the riots and how important it is to speak out and educate ourselves with culture especially in strategy because we need knowledge.

Mark Pollard started off with some reading from his latest book. He got a guest with him, Nathan Young which indeed was 8 block away from the accident with George Floyd. They made their talk more like an act which was very interesting. Once again it was about culture and how important that is for us to move forward.

Michael Rainsborough

Michael spoke about the 6 strategy principles. These consist of effectiveness, competence, efficiency, rational choice and optimal behaviour. This was all about understanding strategy. As interesting as it was, I was so tired by the end of it, it was difficult to concentrated.
