Today's session was really quick and interesting. I already have done these things in Design Academy, so I was already aware of most things that Steve spoke about.
The diagram below shows how design process work. I was very interested to see this, interestingly enough it reminds me of maths and science. Almost like this is the science side of creativity.
Job opportunities;
What is the meaning of design process?
A design process generates a conceptual solution for a problem stated in the form of requirements. - Although there are many many meanings of design process.
The most important questions to ask yourself whenever you answer a brief;
How a business looks?
How a business behaves?
This is all about empathy and design.
When Steve mentioned this it was really interesting because I also though to myself these are two different sectors of design, which one do I want to be in?
Are you interested in the experience or the design?
Meeting with Steve;
I actually really needed this chat with Steve. I spoke to him about my D&AD work and he gave me some tips to look into and take away and just develop further, as for the rest of the day this is my plan to do.
I also wanted to speak to him about my future. LOL. For some reason I get quite put off the fact that it's called 'junior designer', it doesn't attract me. I think it sounds too limiting, I know it's too soon to say because I haven't experienced it yet, but still.
He told me to look into UX (user experience) and see what I think about it, as I told him I am interested into the ideas and researching topics. I want to give people information and allow them to think differently, open their minds and eyes for different possibilities.
