Black.

Today we when through everything quite quickly and it was interesting because we managed to go into some interesting topics. We spoke for things from quotes of Giorgio Agamben to videos about Vanta Black, Victorian time of being respectful by taking photos with your dead children and up to the 50s of people introducing black leather jacket and having these as a threat and black flags, etc.

When you think about the colour black you don't really think much, I don't anyway. Today, when we looked into all these things it opened my eyes to see how it can be expanded and be looked into deep. I am so interesting and I want to look into everything about this.

Let's get deep into the black zone. ooo BLACK ZONE. another thing I can research.

1. Victorian times.

I found some interesting information on the death photographs.

In Victorian times they photographed the loved ones taken after they died and it may seem morbid to modern sensibilities. It was a way of showing their respect to the dead and

the fact that life has taken their life but they are in fact they are showing their beauty. Death portraiture became increasingly popular. Victorian nurseries were plagued by measles, diphteria, scarlet fever, rubella - all of which could be fatal.

I think this is one way I can look deeply into. I think it's so different to how life has moved and developed away from this. Even though I come from Bulgaria, when a relative passes away we give certain types of food around to show respact and we wear black for 10 days, to show we are in grief.

2. Vanta Black.

Vanta Black is a material developed by Surrey NanoSystems in the United Kingdom and is the darkest substance known, absorbing up to 99.965% of radiation in the visible spectrum.

It's used in architecture, military, no reflection quality and others like astronomy. It's so satisfying looking at this material because it's so smooth and it makes me want to go inside and experience what it's like there. I feel like I will feel in peace with myself because something we are so obtained from social media and technology that we don't have time to step back and take a breather.

3. 50s.

In the 50s black became very popular. With people in leather jackets and motorcycles became close to a threat to others as they were known as the "though guys". Black panters were also very well known back in that time and of course Johnny Cash - Man in Black. It's very interesting how black is always in fashion in one way or another.

Why do we need our space?!

When I think of humans and space I think of the straight forward and easiest thing you can think of SPACE itself. NASA. I think in 21st century we are never alone. Not even when we are asleep. I believe because technology is always on, we received notifications, we see and hear noises. We are never alone. Has this affected the way we are? Yes. Well, of course that's my own personal opinion.

Example 1.

Yoga. Yoga is well known to connecting yourself and being conscious within yourself. Personally, I do yoga and at the end of each class we have minimum of 5 minutes where we lay down with our hand open facing upwards and our legs spread. It's so amazing because you can feel the energy coming out of you as you have been moving, tensing, stretching for an hour. At those 5 minutes I am in peace. I have also found out that I am much calmer, creative, productive, etc.

We are so busy, running everywhere, looking for things, doing everything at the same time that we forget about us.

Another interesting fact is that when you do yoga, you yourself need space to be able to move. I think when we humans have space, we go in a better place.

Example 2.

Nasa. Nasa have a lot of helpful things to see how human look at feel in space. It's not just about us as bodies but it's also about us as minds, fitness, isolation, being in space yet being in a close environment. It's so interesting and there is so much information about this out there as NASA will always explore and develop their research.
