Moving Brands came in and they had a pretty good workshop for us. I was quite stuck at the beginning to how to move forward after the interview and what was my next action.
We were divided into teams and we got given a name. From this name we had to go and find out as much as we could about them. Moving Brands had given us different topics to help us to look into things such as; love, passion, work, school, family, etc. We split the team and each one of us went and looked about this person an individual topic, this way we had the higher chance of getting more information in the short space of time. We then shared the information with the team.
We were then asked to create a story about the most powerful things we found about this person. I think we worked really good as a team. We all manged to get different ideas and somehow combined them together to create something quite amazing in fact.
From this story we were then asked to create a product, a movie, instillation, etc. something to go with it. We decided to create an instillation. As Greta always tries to make people protest and is quite rebellious we decided to create an emotional impact on the people around us by creating a plastic graveyard. The main point about this workshop is to see how you can take someone's name, do research on them (e.i. interviews as we are doing for our musicians) and create a powerful story. The other thing I liked is that it showed us how to work fast, effectively and together. It's possible.
I think this was quite a useful workshop. Without realising it makes you work, create and produce work effectively.
