Today with Esther we decided we really need to settle down and get going with the brand identity. It's important that we work and keep developing this because it will be one of the most important assets that we have for our project. We wanted to use his initials as part of this because he has already kind of started using his name as his brand identity in his Instagram, so instead of making a whole new Instagram we can just create content on his and post it there. He is quite vintage, so we wanted to take that on board and keep it because the aesthetic is strong and most importantly fits well.
Doodle time
After decided that we want to go with the 10th design, we decided to do it digitally and see how it will look on the screen. We love the fact that it's simple and it yet complicated in a way, it just speaks him, shows him as a person in a logo. The top of the R can be worked on but as a first mock - up and design it looks good. The whole project we keep saying to each other to keep things simple because our installation is complex to make, but easy to understand so we wanted to keep that throughout the whole idea itself.
Digital version
We will also consider using this for the perceptual art too. I think it will work very well because it's simple and it will allow us to be very clear with the objects we are going to use.
The next step is to begging to look for video inspirations and consider how we can use this style into the video. I will be looking whether to use After Effects or Premier Pro and seeing which one would be easier. I have used both software's, but it will just depend on what I will be making. After this I will begin the video itself. We did ask to film our musician, however he seemed like he wasn't comfortable having two strange girls into his house, so I though of another idea - instead he already has so many videos in his Instagram we can use them and create a whole new video from them. Let's goooooo and make some awesome work.
