Apple workshop

Today we visited Apple at Covent Gardens. The series of tutorials were there for us to show us how to use certain programs in a creative way while having the pencil and using fingers too.

For me it was a must must to go to that workshop as I don't own anything Apple, it was very very helpful.

Notes;

With notes they showed us how to do and what to do being using notes .. just for notes. It was interesting to see how the pencil can work and experience that first hand. I am quite the fan of the pencil and the sensitiveness of it as it does make a lot of difference! The task was to look at the person next to the and create something about them. Despoina recently got a new tattoo so I decided to bring it to live.

iMovie;

This was quite interesting, I must say it is wwaaaaaayyyy easier than using PremierPro and/or After Effects. It was very smooth and clean. Easy to understand, the language was simple, they didn't use some complicated words to describe an easy movement. Everything was sweet and short.

ProCreative;

ProCreative was probably my favourite. The first thing I liked about it is that it's super cheap £9.99 and you only pay once and have it forever. I think it is better than Adobe Creative Cloud, I mean it's better if you're not interested into PremierPro and so on, but you just want Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator then definitely. I was really into experimenting with the different brushes and really just playing mainly with the pencil because that was quite an important factor.

Clips;

Clips was quite cool. It was more basic than iMovie, however you could quite a lot with it. Very fast. I enjoyed quite a bit, but you could see how at the end the class was getting quite tired. Everyone was very excited about playing around with the iPads and pencils.

My overall opinion is that I would do it again. They said they will be doing more workshops and I will be definitely going. For someone who doesn't own any Apple products, I am really not into the phones and the macs, but the iPads and pencils are definitely worth it for a creator! The people was so friendly and easy to talk to. The whole day was very enjoyable and I have learned a lot, which I will be definitely putting into the project.

Let the magic begin. Thanks guys!
