Today I gave myself the goal to look for inspiration and start creating mock-ups and ideas for this project. Previously when I wrote to you all, I told you that I am interested in the topic misogyny....... however..... I keep finding myself going back to Amber Rose and her slut walk. I keep watching interviews, posts, events, and so many other things that I now considered to slut shame men. That's right ... I am going to turn men into sluts.
The reason this has really gotten to me is because of obvious personal reasons, but also this very specific interview that I watched. It totally blew my mind away! I don't even know where to begin and try and explain how this interview makes me feel like.
First of all....
WOMEN ARE NOT AFRAID OF POWERFUL MEN! Jesse Lee .. "babe.." (like Amber Rose says) YOU ARE SO DAMN WRONG.
I think that after the 7th minute things really get fired up and that is when Amber Rose just could have not said this any better! Wait, in fact there are powerful women out there! Amber Rose! She has been fighting this for so long since 2011 in Toronto. She is a powerful woman and she isn't afraid to fight for it and this is why so many men and people out there are hating on here, because they do not like the fact that she knows how to get her power!
Some good facts;

Amber Rose - "What does it make you if you have sex with a lot of different women?"
Jesse Lee - "A slut maker"
Straight after I heard this I though to myself - us women have been called sluts but in fact nobody ever talks about men that sleep with a lot of women! No one ever complains about that! I personally believe that in many ways women are much stronger than men. I don't think women have been empowered enough through the men side, so with this project I want to make men sluts.
For this project I though the tag line could be,
F*ck me. I am.
The reason I though of this is because audience can interact add their own line. It can also be recycled and used in multiple advertisements and social media channels to create a series. When it came to create to the create side of it... I got stuck. At the beginning I was thinking about gender and women because it's about women, however then I though I am trying to target men into a women side. So the first things after today I know that I need to make sure to target both women and men.
The first design that I came up with was;
but to be honest I was not feeling it straight away. It reminded me of those low cost adverts that we see on the billboards such as those multivitamin ads (well I think they are boring anyway.) The good thing about is that the sentence is sweet and short as they say and get's straight to the point.

The next design that I tried was with the tag line. F*ck me, I am...
I though maybe that makes more sense and it's more punctual with the language.
When I looked at these two and I though to be honest this wouldn't really get my attention. So, I did a BIIIIIIG jump. I though well let's try it with illustration. I had found this illustrator Klas Fahlen and I absolutely loved his work. Now I can't tell you whether I used his work because I liked it so much or because I actually want to do some illustrations myself. We'll find that out later on...

When I saw there at first I though they were simple and I though that wasn't okay because with my previous work I have constantly made really colourful and busy projects, where as this breaths a lot. I do like the white space and how it allows it to have it's own character. I think that the tag lines are simple but effective.
This is the last experiment for the day. For some reason when I created the previous ones I looked at them and though what if it was a conversation? So I decided to quickly mock-up something that would look like a comic?! I think this way the audience would see what's it actually about. The women will also have a voice to say back what usually men say to us.
What's next?
1. I really need to start referring back to the Amber Rose moodboard to keep reminding myself what my aim is.
2. Start looking for more inspiration and experiment more.
3. Trying different lay outs, colours, moving image maybe.
4. Start looking at different social channels and how it can fit into them.
