Typography experiments

Experiment 1;

This was really basic, just taking my physical drawings and turning them digital. I wanted to play around with type and make something weird and I guess UNREADABLE.. I think it's too much. There are too many ideas and things to look at and read and it's missing the point. It needs to be stripped back.

Experiment 2;

The same applies for this. It's too busy, it's unreadable. Also I think it's missing some negative space. It will allow it to breathe.

Experiment 3;

The colour version works so much better. Even though it's still busy, the same is giving it more freedom. It looks much neater, but still doesn't work, it's not practical.

Experiment 4;

I like something about this. The simplicity. It's definitely more enjoyable to look at and understandable. However.. for some reason it give me 'meme' vibes and that's not right..

Experiment 5;

I love this. It's bold. It's simple. I love the strict invisible lines and the negative space around it makes it bolder. The colour of choice works well together. However.. it's just a poster, there isn't a wowing factor.

Experiment 6;

I decided to do more type and less visuals. More like secretive visuals. I think there is something about it that works, it just needs to be developed further.

Experiment 7;

I definitely prefer this. I think the facts are going to play a very important roll here.

Experiment 8;

The pop of colour is allowing to emphasise on the percentage. It's making break up the text which is working well. The reason I decided to use this colour is to link it with the logo of 'the case for her'.

Overall;

My next step is to look into typography inspirations. I need to make sure I do my research right and experiment correctly with typography. I have fallen out of it and I want to get back into it. I think if it's done right, it will be amazing. I do also want to use some sort of visuals, I just enjoy making them so much and I think it's also becoming like a signature? People are not surprised I am doing this and they know I do it well.
