Teen Vogue culture

Let's talk about culture... I find it quite hard to speak about this. You always have to be careful not to say something bad or something wrong in some wrong way that you may not even know it's bad. I feel like I have to tip toe around this subject and watch every word I say to make sure no one gets mad or upset.

Teen Vogue is very good at covering topics like this. I have also noticed the language they use somehow kind of fits to all cultures. They use certain words such as 'speak to young girls' it's almost like they pick on every persona out there that can link up to 'young girls'. The way they speak shows how they target their audience.

I think this is quite creative. Using two people, showing how cultures are literally presented, but also how girls try and dress for the society they live in. Teen Vogue is making is quite personal, not towards the magazine itself, but towards the person speaking and their own persona. This manages to target more individuals and a larger group audience.

"It's time to change the conversation around cultural appropriation. ....Once you've dehumanized someone, you can co-opt their culture with ease; their language, dress, and customs aren't worthy of the respect you reserve for your own."
