To be honest, I found you so quite accidentally, my dear Klas Fahlen.

Klas Fahlen, is a classic pop illustrator with an interplay of expressive line work and saturated colour forms.
The reason that his work really got me, was because it's so natural. When you look at the lines the way they are drawn they are so straight and 'perfect'. The colours bounce off perfectly from those black lines that he uses. It creates a clear definition of the artwork and it's surroundings. It's interesting how also in some artwork in fact he does not use line, however he uses the boundaries of colour to create almost "invisible" lines. Like on the example below.

Klas Fahlen has worked with a lot of different clients such as; Ikea, Marks & Spencer, Ericsson Business Magazine, LA Magazine, Skanska, Radda, Monocle and many other. Klas was awarded the cannes design lion in 2001, for his work with Ice Food, and has collaborated with chronicle books, the the Swedish museum of architecture, conde nast traveler and many other.
His illustrations tell stories in my eyes. When I look at them without trying I can imagine and create a story, which makes stare into his work and wanting to see more. This is what I want to do! I want people to create stories when they see my work! Every person will think differently to the one next them. For example, the illustration below. When I looked at it I saw a lonely man being shocked by the fact that an attractive women is looking at him. Some people might call her a 'slut' because of her breasts being out. Others might say he's a pervert. People create stories and the stories depend what they are from the people's personalities.

"A pen and paper is enough"
// A little boy, illustrator Klas Fahlen spent hours drawing batman and playing football; but when he realised you had to be 6 foot 2 inches tall with the stamina of a horse to be a footballer, it become just drawing and painting. And with a little nagging from his Mother he turned it into his full - time profession. - Pen and paper, plus a little concentration, is all he needs to realise his ideas, inspiration coming from anything from Picasso to contemporary Swedish illustrator Stina Wirsen. Klas is known for his simple, elegant line drawings - colourful, sharp and peppered with subtle humour. He was born in Sala in 1962, and is now based in Stockholm.//
