Are you even ready for these experiments?!

Since the first day that we started uni I was constantly doodling and sketching in my book. When it came to the project the first time I had to do an experiment or just start from somewhere I straight away when to my pen and paper and started sketching.

Physical sketches

As you can see below I was even sketching on top of my writing. It came out so natural and straight away I though okay... this project is going to be drawn out physically and digitally. I though this was so random for me to do this because usually I look for inspirations online and from the people around me but this time I was like no I feel like I need to visualise it on paper. Sketch #2

When I started sketching straight away I saw where I wanted to go and what I wanted to create. It's like I had a sudden urge to draw. That day I actually did not feel very good. Everyone around we're shouting, it was so noise and when I was sketching it felt so good because it's like I was fine and I didn't pay attention to the people around me and what it was happening. I somehow managed to get myself in my own bubble and focus on what I'm doing and concentrate really.

I spoke to my friends and people around after doing some sketches and people have had their opinions out loud and I decided to make a quick rough sketch of the 'book'.

The next sketch I started to think about what the first page could be. I just started sketching random things and this is the first one that I came up with. The thing I like about this is that I have used different proportions which really reminds me and gives me comic book feeling. The other thing is the most obvious one which is the text bubbles.

This is the second sketch that I came up with. I am really enjoying drawing these sketches. They have really kept me focus onto what I want to do and stay on top of my tasks because they are quite relaxing at the same time.

Digital art

The cover

This is the digital cover that I created. I did change some things as I was making it into Illustrator because I kept coming up with different eye point of views and opinions while it was being made. I have never used these colours combined before so when I made it I was really attracted to it because it was very outside of my comfort zone. The bold writing I think was what made it very interesting and outstanding because it personally got my attention. The art itself is somehow that I enjoyed experimenting with because it was quite different and fun even though I have done similar drawings before. Even though in the sketches it looks like it has more lines and rougher I think it looks better if it is more 'sleek' for the cover and rougher inside the pages.

First page

The first page also turned out very well in the processing it making it digitally experiment and researched different type fonts for the text inside the bubbles. I think it's important that they fit well and link well with the drawings. I think that if they had a massive contrast it would not look as better and it will be very difficult for the eye.

Some people choose the one without the grey but I think it adds shadows and movements towards the drawings and I think it's more effective. This ones a very 50/50 so I think it just depended whether people liked it or not.

I really like this one. I think it has a lot of depth and attitude. I have not yet shown people this, but it will bet interesting to see what people think. I am also enjoying with working with simple colours. I think that if you know how to really use them and tackle them down you can create some effective work.

I am really enjoying this project. I like that I can express myself through art in a real way of things that actually happen around us and make people aware of it with these drawings. People have made comments and told me that they see straight away what I am trying to do here which is awesome because I can see that it's effective people's emotions and attitudes.

I think I might also be developing a little women crush towards Amber Rose. She has inspired me so much because of the things that she does every year for the slut walk! Sorry guys, but I am NOT GETTING OVER THIS ANY TIME SOON.
