I kept re reading my own brief and I kept talking to people about it. I originally though of making it 'proper' and soft and lean towards nature colours and feelings. I don't think this is the way to go. Bulgarians are a hard population. We have one of the strongest history in the world, we are one of the oldest countries that have existed. This means that we lived through propaganda. We have a strong visual language and body and attitude. By bringing this back, it also means it is reminding the people and our population what we are like and who we are.
I decided to start off with a typical propaganda poster.
Video Photoshop experimentation;
I decided to learn how to make effects like this to find a way of how I can possibly represent Bulgaria in a rusty visual.
Outcome 1;
I applied the above effect onto our map to represent what the country will look like after the people leave and only the elderly is left.

Outcome 2;
After doing my moldboard of Bulgaria and the important elements about the country, I looked back at it and look some of those elements into the poster.
The colours - white, green and red are in a specific order because that is how our flag is.
The last quote is the quote of the country.

Outcome 3;
After doing this, I realised.. our language is an effect and an aesthetic itself. This is aimed towards Bulgarians. I wanted to write it in Bulgaria and see how the visuals work together. Yes, a lot of the people can speak English, however at the end of the day this is our country and not only will I will be trying to bring the people back, but also remind them what we have and how strong we are.

Feedback;
Shiv;
Shiv made a good point about hierarchy of the message. If the red quote is first, it will be almost like show the statement and then telling them to wake up to the realisation.
Another consideration that I though it was a good point is that, this is what Bulgaria can look like in 10 years?

Despina;
We had a lot to talk about. Some of the pain points she made was to look at soviet posters, re-imagining Bulgarian propaganda to make people to come back. We had a good chat which allowed us to get into a deeper meaning of how to tackle the audience. We also discussed if this was gonna be physical how would it feel and we though of this newspaper feeling as after all propaganda isn't really digital, not it is, but before it wasn't. Bearing this in mind, I will have to think of it digitally, as it is 2020 after all.

Overall;
As Desp has gone through similar stuff with her country as in propaganda as well, she really understood the visual language I was using and Shiv not so much. Finding this out really made me realise that I am tackling my audience in the correct way because they refer back to the visual style.
