Developing the stills further (LO_1,3,4) (AC_1,4,6)

After creating the individual still from the main ad, I realised I liked the waves more on the individual, so I decided to take them and update everything including the logo. I also decided to change the font. I had used two different fonts which I though they are 'Balkan' and made the visuals look more like the Balkans, but I guess I need to do my research again and remind myself.

Inspiration;

I kept looking at websites for inspiration.. then I remembered I had a whole section about Bulgarian fonts in products done in my dissertation!!

Moodboard;

I decided to create a moodboard which consists of Bulgarian logos and fonts and how and where they are used. This is a really good way to remind myself of the Balkan type.

Before;

I though this was alright, I knew there could be improvements made, but it's very hard to see where and how when you're stuck at home and all you do is uni work... When I decided to create the individuals I started looking at things in different way which allowed me to break the image apart and separate these elements. By doing this I took a break and realised what was wrong and why/how.

After;

Even though there are some thin lines in the mountain and around the sun, the thicker waves which are the new edition have definitely made this look much better. I also decided to change the font after looking at some inspiration and Balkan posters. I wanted the logo and the slogan to somehow separate and all I did for that was 'Bulgaria' has 3 more lines of thickness which has overall made it bolder than the slogan. You can see this by the edges, the slogan has much sharper and cleaner edges.

Feedback;

Bulgarian version;

Before;

I did the same for the Bulgarian versions. I actually used completely different fonts for the Bulgarian version because the English one didn't allow me to display a different alphabet. This made it quite difficult for me to choose the font. What I actually did was, on 'dafont' I typed Bulgaria with the Bulgarian alphabet which allowed me to see Balkan fonts and also see whether I would be able to type in the Bulgarian alphabet. Then I just translated it into English. The reason I did this is because if it works in Bulgarian as in the font, it will definitely work in English.

After;

It just looks much more cleaner and developed.

Logo update;

Before;

The same goes for the logo. It looks much more cleaner and developed. I made sure I added the waves as well for consistency.

After;

Bulgarian logo version if needed;

Overall;

I obviously had to make sure I updated the font for the rest of the individual versions and Bulgarian ones too.

I think this was very successful, there is a clear development and improvement - especially looking back into the Balkan fonts.

My next step is to add these at the end of the video, however, before that I need to make some little improvements on the video itself as I am not happy with some of the recordings.

Some feedback;
