Face and colour

- 80% of the Bulgarians have light/pale skin, dark (brown and black hair) is dominant, as well as dark and mixed eyes. The faces are also with a reversed trapezoid shape.

- Hair colour - 80% of the men and 67% of the women have dark, brown-black hair, which is especially true in the eastern regions of the country. 17,8% of the men and 25,6% of the women have brown hair, while 2,6% of the men and 7% of the women are blond. - Eye colour - dark eyes (brown and brown-black) are the most common - 47,6% of the men and 56,6% of the women, whereas mixed eyes (green-brown and gray-brown) are found among 44,5% of the men and 37,6% of the women.


Height

- The average male height in Bulgaria is around 1.75–1.78m (5′9′'-5′10′'), which is higher than some places and lower than others. For example, the people in the neighbouring Western Balkans, especially Bosnia, are certainly taller - among the tallest in Europe and the world, in fact.
